Thin Water-Ice Clouds partially cover the morning Sun, in this beautiful picture of the Martian Sky that has been taken by the NASA - Mars Exploration Rover (MER) Opportunity when it was standing near the Edge of the Crater Endurance (a small portion of the Rim of Endurance can be seen on the lower left corner of the frame). This is a Left Navigation Camera (NavCam) Non-linearized Downsampled EDR Frame acquired on Sol 291 of NASA - Mars Exploration Rover (MER) Opportunity's mission to Meridiani Planum; this picture was taken at approximately 09:24:47 Mars Local Solar Time.

This frame has also been additionally processed and colorized in Absolute Natural Colors (such as the colors that a normal human eye would actually perceive if someone were on the Surface of Mars, near the NASA - NASA - Mars Exploration Rover (MER) Opportunity, and then looked towards the Horizon and Sky), by using an original technique created - and, in time, dramatically improved - by the Lunar Explorer Italia Team.
